UPDATE: Alert!
It has been brought to my attention that the majority of viewers this month are coming on down from my lil’ old LinkedIn profile.Welcome, potential employers! As you can probably tell, this place needs a little tidying up, as of late. And yes, there is personal stuff on here as well, but I’d hope that those personal little prejudices won’t get in the way of great evaluations. (Seriously, even Trans-girls need to eat.)

Here it is! While I build the fancy lil’ flash player here is a flickr stream of this year’s choice pickings to be tossed away as I consolidate the warehouse that has become my art closet.
This year I took a go at live blogging things this year as I perused through the endless piles of stuff. You can follow back on the old twitter feed. Y’all know there’s a twitter feed, right? Also, I think I finally solved the RSS problem but any who subscribed to the old feed will have to re-subscribe as I, boneheaded as I am, erased the previous google feed without getting all the data transferred.
Oh and for all you Facebook devotees, extra photos from my twitter trip to MCA Chicago are up as well.

I know I promised “media solutions” weeks ago in a post, but I’ve not been emotional up to it as of late. With WSJ closing its prestigious boston bureau last week and some personal toss-ups along the way, I’ve had to re-evaluate a lot of industry factors. I still believe that news reporting and development are essential to democracy, can be accomplished effectively on a living wage, and can even save the industry. I also believe that “magazine” publishers are probably the best poised to roll with the new economic realities of the industry. (magazines are in quotes for a reason that I’ll get to later.) Rest assured I may be lazy, but I am diligently so.
Now for the round robbin’…
Okay in case any of you were wondering, yes I am still obsessed with Ugly Betty, or Yo soy Betty, la fea, as it’s known around these parts. (It’s in primetime on Univision again.)

Biographical
Spoons to Skyscrapers
Welcome to yet another blog choking the internet. I guess it was only a matter of time before I actually put something together. As with many things, this site is an ongoing and evolving creature.
My main reason for this little chunk of internet real estate is to pursue my interests in arts and cultural reporting. This is a passion I’ve had for quite sometime and as regular media options have all but disappeared, (more on the later) this seems as good a place as any to indulge such interests.
So without further ado, let’s do a little topic run-down!
