UPDATE: Alert!
It has been brought to my attention that the majority of viewers this month are coming on down from my lil’ old LinkedIn profile.Welcome, potential employers! As you can probably tell, this place needs a little tidying up, as of late. And yes, there is personal stuff on here as well, but I’d hope that those personal little prejudices won’t get in the way of great evaluations. (Seriously, even Trans-girls need to eat.)
If you’d like to see a more organized portfolio of work, please visit www.flickr.com/rarmedia
Here it is! While I build the fancy lil’ flash player here is a flickr stream of this year’s choice pickings to be tossed away as I consolidate the warehouse that has become my art closet.
This year I took a go at live blogging things this year as I perused through the endless piles of stuff. You can follow back on the old twitter feed. Y’all know there’s a twitter feed, right? Also, I think I finally solved the RSS problem but any who subscribed to the old feed will have to re-subscribe as I, boneheaded as I am, erased the previous google feed without getting all the data transferred.
Oh and for all you Facebook devotees, extra photos from my twitter trip to MCA Chicago are up as well.

Exquisite Corpses Y’all
Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Okay, so we started this little experiment as a way to celebrate NaNoWriMo. I have been longing to stretch my writing legs again for quite a while. (There is only so many ways to sell an “exclusive new table saw!”) So, I bamboozled some good friends to go with me on this literary ride. It is basically a structured story-swap or exquisite corpse sort of deal. 1,000 words at a time we trade off the narrative and see where the next author takes us.
Below is the first sketch of a protagonist. It is more of an outline of sorts – with numerous jumping off points for following authors to use. Falling back on my old writing style, I usually try to get a character to do just one thing and then fill in between until I pass out or through the scene away.
Writing has always been hard for me. Good or bad, to get ideas out of my head I go through what can only be described as intellectual vomiting. Everything comes out at once and I have to keep going back to clean it up.
Anyway, this project should prove to be interesting, and I promise to not get anything on your shoes if you wish to stay awhile.

Anxiety
Sunday, October 11th, 2009
Today, a short interlude.
I’m sure y’all wanted me to go back and finish my dry analysis of media deployment and industry focus, right? Ya, me neither.
Anyway, I was reading last weeks NYTimes and the magazine’s cover story got me. It was about naturally anxious people and, of course, the hamsters powering the windmills of my mind went into overdrive.
