UPDATE: Alert!
It has been brought to my attention that the majority of viewers this month are coming on down from my lil’ old LinkedIn profile.Welcome, potential employers! As you can probably tell, this place needs a little tidying up, as of late. And yes, there is personal stuff on here as well, but I’d hope that those personal little prejudices won’t get in the way of great evaluations. (Seriously, even Trans-girls need to eat.)
If you’d like to see a more organized portfolio of work, please visit www.flickr.com/rarmedia
Here it is! While I build the fancy lil’ flash player here is a flickr stream of this year’s choice pickings to be tossed away as I consolidate the warehouse that has become my art closet.
This year I took a go at live blogging things this year as I perused through the endless piles of stuff. You can follow back on the old twitter feed. Y’all know there’s a twitter feed, right? Also, I think I finally solved the RSS problem but any who subscribed to the old feed will have to re-subscribe as I, boneheaded as I am, erased the previous google feed without getting all the data transferred.
Oh and for all you Facebook devotees, extra photos from my twitter trip to MCA Chicago are up as well.

Playtime with Aggregation

Somethings I’ve found
You know how a while back I posted a little bit about personal information aggregation?
Well less creepy than “personas” , I’ve found a couple other interesting uses of our private information. BTW, Though people tend to claim a permanence to the personal info on the internet, my previous life has become harder and harder to find through regular search techniques as time has marched on. I assume it is just buried deeper and deeper on some server somewhere, but it makes me hopeful that a fresh start is still possible in this technological age.
Anyway…
on with the show.

Take Me “Out” to The Movies
Saturday, February 6th, 2010
Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been trying to get my magazine developer’s brain around Adobe After Effects. As the web becomes more and more of a video-based platform, publishing has been abandoning well-researched written presentations for quick video tid-bits. Since I has a face for radio, it is time to leave journalism to just the pretty people.
Anyway, I’ve found a lot of cool uses of after effects to bring Illustrative design elements to title sequences.
