Lately, I’ve been thoroughly unmotivated to do much of anything. Maybe it’s November and all the thinks wrapped up in it, but I’ve not been able to get positive.
Thing is, stuff is improving. After three years stranded in Waukegan, I’m finally meeting new friends, my health is improvong after a nasty run-in with the swine flu and I’m getting job interest again. So, why am I such a sad downer?
Is it the lack of sunlight? Is my old “worst-case scenario” thinking kicking in again? Or, do I actually enjoy being miserable?
Seriously, that’s kind of F-ed up. So, in other news…
Yes, we are still dabbling into our short story project. It’s my turn and I have been writing. Maybe on the bus trip to ohio, for thanksgiving, i can get something posted. I’ve been restristed to writing on the iphone lately until the community wireless is repaired.
It is surprisingly convient although I see why the multiple window google phones, like the new droid, are considered iphone killers. A quick toggle between wordpress, dropbox and safari would make posting pretty sweet.
I’ll see y’all after the holiday. Peace, love and cranberry sauce. – Becca

I know I promised “media solutions” weeks ago in a post, but I’ve not been emotional up to it as of late. With WSJ closing its prestigious boston bureau last week and some personal toss-ups along the way, I’ve had to re-evaluate a lot of industry factors. I still believe that news reporting and development are essential to democracy, can be accomplished effectively on a living wage, and can even save the industry. I also believe that “magazine” publishers are probably the best poised to roll with the new economic realities of the industry. (magazines are in quotes for a reason that I’ll get to later.) Rest assured I may be lazy, but I am diligently so.
Now for the round robbin’…
Okay in case any of you were wondering, yes I am still obsessed with Ugly Betty, or Yo soy Betty, la fea, as it’s known around these parts. (It’s in primetime on Univision again.)
