Time for the Annual Notebook Purge

Every once in a while my notebooks get crammed with doodles, layouts, plans, and other such things. I think it may be an illness. I really need to stop scratching out ideas on anything and everything within reach.

Periodically, My Apartment gets so crammed with all this material and I force myself to recycle anything that I would deem irrelevant. Here’s a smidgen of the last couple months:

While nothing here is suitable as art or anything, I do like to go back and see how I filter out ideas. The one building picture for example; I have been passing this abandoned auto-yard on my every-other-week trips into the city. Every time I pass it on Peterson Rd. I start thinking about making it into some sort of reclaimed structure. This current version has been rolling around in my head for the past three weeks or so.

Most of the time, I just end up doodling nonsense cartoons in between load times. In here, is a version of the characters that I really wanted to get to with Pocket Foxes. They’s much more springy and alive than what I was creating.

If any of y’all have work time doodles that you’d like to share send ‘em along. I’ll make a little slideshow page for everybody’s work. Just keep it clean.

Oh! At work I think we’ve captured the booger bandit. No longer will the men’s room or coffee area be subject to his evil mark of death. Hazzah to justice and Antihistamines everywhere!!!
